AMG Vanadium provides financial support to area high schools

For the eighth consecutive year, AMG Vanadium has provided financial support to enrich the academic experience at Buckeye Trail, John Glenn, Meadowbrook and Cambridge high schools. Each school was presented with a donation of $1,000 designated for their math and science departments.

As a strong supporter of education, AMG Vanadium routinely conducts plant tours, offers internships to local students, and provides financial support to local high schools and colleges. “Education, particularly a sound math and science education, is very important to us, both now and as we look to the future. At AMG Vanadium, we have a number of highly technical positions, and it’s important for our employees to be able to conduct basic math equations as well as possess higher level analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills learned through the math and science disciplines. These skills are critically important for local companies like ours to compete in a global marketplace,” said Mr. Hoy E. Frakes, Jr., President of AMG Vanadium.
