AMG Aluminum North America, LLC (AMG Al NA) is seeking an Accounting Manager to join our organization and support our Henderson, Kentucky and Wenatchee, Washington plants. This position will be based in Henderson, KY. In this role, you will be responsible for the accounting and financial transactions and reporting for the AMG Al NA division, including all month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings and audit coordination. This position will report to the Company Controller.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Comply with all AMG and AMG Al NA policies and procedures, including safety, environmental requirements, and AMG’s Code of Business Conduct; lead by example for the AMG Al NA team
  • Complete month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings, including preparation of journal entries, account variance analysis, and coordination of audits
  • Generate accurate and timely consolidated financial statements, in compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies and procedures
  • Establish financial systems, schedules, and metrics that provide regular updates to management on the division’s financial status; maintain, document, and review processes to ensure internal controls

AMG Vanadium (AMG V) is seeking an Electrical Engineering Technician to join our growing organization at our new Zanesville Plant. AMG Vanadium’s Electrical Engineering Technician installs, maintains, and repairs PLC driven electrical systems, electrical and electronic components of machinery, equipment, and building facility needs. This role will provide advanced electrical technical support during plant start-up and commissioning and will then be responsible for the general upkeep of the facilities’ electrical system and components during ongoing operations.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Work with Production, Engineering, and Maintenance to ensure continuous operation of plant; test and inspect equipment routinely; complete preventive maintenance checks on all electrical equipment, and electrical components on engines, motors, hydraulic valves/cylinders, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, etc.
  • Prepare and/or review blueprints, drawings, schematics, and detailed equipment specifications
  • Troubleshoot electrical problems in PLCs, equipment, machines, motors, process support systems, and circuits; determine root cause and implement required repairs
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure that the electrical system of the facility is working properly; assist in the design of preventative maintenance schedule for all electrical systems
  • Maximize equipment uptime and minimize production downtime to achieve desired business and operational goals
  • Source replacement parts in accordance with required specification
  • Follow scheduled maintenance work order system and participate in planning of required electrical maintenance support during scheduled downtime
  • Assist with mechanical repairs and general maintenance support activities throughout plant
  • Understand roles and responsibilities in support of production team’s operational goals and metrics
  • Support preventative maintenance training of non-maintenance team members
  • Utilize principles of lean manufacturing, including 6S, to support operational and process improvements
  • Perform other duties as may be required

Qualifications/Skills/Requirements

  • Strong electrical/mechanical aptitude required
  • Associate’s degree in related field or electrical certification required
  • Minimum of five years experience in electrical engineering technician role
  • Experience in fast paced heavy manufacturing environment desired; steel or hot metal experience a strong plus; hands-on experience strongly preferred
  • Must understand PLCs and PLC/ladder logic
  • Capable of reading blueprints, drawings, schematics, and detailed equipment operation specifications
  • Must be receptive and adaptable to change
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills a must (verbal, written, and listening skills)
  • Knowledge of or desire to learn lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Demonstrate level of proficiency to work without close supervision
  • Ability to work 12 hours swing/rotating shifts (weekends included)
