Training Coordinator - Human Resources
Description
AMG Vanadium (AMG V) is seeking a Training Coordinator with a strong background in developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive training programs in heavy industrial environments. He/she oversees and aligns workforce development initiatives across multiple facilities to ensure compliance, safety, productivity, and skill advancement. Skilled in collaborating with site leadership, subject matter experts, and safety professionals to meet operational goals and regulatory requirements.
Responsible and Duties (all other duties as assigned):
- Lead by example and comply with all AMG V safety and environmental requirements, policies, and procedures, including AMG’s Code of Business Conduct.
- Embrace and promote the AMG V culture in all day-to-day activities; foster and promote a positive, respectful work environment that is aligned with AMG’s values.
- Design, coordinate, and standardize training programs across multiple sites, including onboarding, safety, equipment operation, technical skills, and leadership development.
- Customize training to meet facility-specific needs while maintaining alignment with corporate objectives and industry regulations (e.g., OSHA, MSHA, etc.).
- Maintain accurate training records and documentation for audits and inspections.
- Partner with plant managers, EHS (Environmental Health & Safety), maintenance, and operations teams to identify skill gaps and training needs.
- Act as a liaison between leadership and facility teams to support consistent training practices and resource allocation.
- Organize training schedules, secure instructors, manage LMS platforms, and coordinate training materials across all sites.
- Monitor and track participation, completion rates, and learning outcomes to ensure program effectiveness.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, performance metrics, and on-the-job assessments.
- Recommend and implement improvements to increase efficiency, engagement, and knowledge retention.
- Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS), digital training platforms, and hands-on simulation tools to deliver hybrid training formats.
- Provide support to Human Resource Managers as needed.
Qualifications/Skills/Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Training & Development, Industrial Technology, Occupational Safety, Human Resources, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2 + years of experience in a training coordination role within a manufacturing, construction, energy, or industrial setting.
- Strong understanding of regulatory training requirements (OSHA, ANSI, NFPA, etc.).
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel regularly between sites (up to 50%).
