Yard Supervisor


AMG Vanadium (AMG V) is seeking a Yard Supervisor to supervise the day-to-day activities, operations and administration of receiving activities and grounds upkeep at our manufacturing site in Cambridge, Ohio.   

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Leadership of safety efforts within the Yard department; lead by example as well as through employee engagement efforts
  • Leadership and oversight of the Yard employees and operations to ensure that work assignments are completed in a safe, environmentally compliant, and timely manner; ensure Yard operations are aligned with Company and departmental goals, priorities, and quality standards
  • Inventory management and tracking of raw and process materials; maintain accurate inventory database files
  • Management of railcar unloading to ensure compliance with spent catalyst contracts and environmental regulations
  • Review, complete and sign incoming manifests; manage railcar and other raw material documentation consistent with requirements
  • Management of activities and grounds upkeep; maintain a very high level of housekeeping standards
  • Ensure compliance with Company, OSHA and EPA safety and environmental standards
  • Conduct regular audits of the facility to ensure environmental compliance


  • 3-5 years’ experience
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Prior experience with receiving preferred
  • Digital inventory tracking experience
  • Previous environmental compliance experience a plus
  • Strong computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Office, especially excel
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and follow through skills required
  • Excellent ability to multi-task and work in fast-paced environment
  • Excellent people/interpersonal skills
  • Ability to engage people
  • Results orientated with the ability to plan and deliver against project deadlines
  • Team player who can facilitate and negotiate for optimum business outcomes (up and down the chain)
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001 procedures, OSHA and EPA regulations
  • Mobile equipment experience preferred
