Contract Administrator

Summary

AMG Vanadium (AMG V) is seeking an organized, experienced contract administrator to join our growing organization. In this position, you will be responsible for reviewing and maintaining all company contracts related to AMG V’s expansion efforts. You will negotiate terms and conditions, consult with internal teams for compliance, and represent the company when dealing with external business partners.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Work with internal partners to develop an overall contract strategy
  • Develop and negotiate contract terms, conditions and pricing; follow up to ensure execution according to negotiated terms
  • Create standardized language for new contracts; update contracts when legal changes occur
  • Ensure compliance with all legal regulations and company policies when developing, negotiating and administering contracts; coordinate actions and serve as liaison with internal and external partners
  • Present and explain contract conditions and details to business partners, employees, and management
  • Assess and mitigate company risk associated with contracts; analyze and report on risk
  • Report status of current contract processes to management
  • Resolve any existing contract conflicts
  • Manage project changes.
  • Develop and maintain digital and paper system of contracts, other documentation, and records
  • Monitor all contract deadlines and conditions to ensure timelines are kept and all relevant payments or information has been met
  • Provide technical guidance to legal team as needed

Qualifications/Skills/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics, law, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years previous experience as a contract administrator or manager
  • Experience working on large capital projects
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles
  • Strong computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, Visio, and Project), Primavera VI, and advanced management software
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Strict adherence to company guidelines, compliance laws, and legal requirements
  • Strong interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to spot errors and inconsistencies
  • Ability to assess and manage risk
  • Ability to hold people accountable for contract compliance
