AMG Vanadium’s Zanesville Process Support Team Member performs process support work essential to continuous operations of production related activities. Process Support Team Members operate mobile equipment, machinery, and hand tools, handle vanadium and non-vanadium raw materials and bulk supplies, and stage materials and process set-ups to support the efficient operational production. Supports and maintains 6S and continuous improvement efforts throughout the entire plant.

Summary

AMG Vanadium (AMG V) is seeking a Process Engineer to join our growing team at our Cambridge and Zanesville, Ohio facilities. In this position, you will be responsible for providing process engineering and technical support for the AMG V Melt Shop (Electric Arc Furnaces) and Roaster operations. Initially, your focus will be on the final configuration of our new Zanesville Plant Melt Shop and Roaster prior to start-up and technical support of systems, processes, and operations during commissioning, start-up, and post start-up operations.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Train and provide guidance for members of your team to ensure their safety and mitigate environmental risk; build a culture of safety engagement

Qualifications/Skills/Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in extractive metallurgical engineering preferred; metallurgical engineering or chemical engineering degree required; MS or MBA a plus
  • 3-5 years of experience required; heavy manufacturing experience a plus
  • Strong process/technical/analytical skills
  • Proficient in Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Design of Experiment (DOE) methodologies
  • Previous project management experience a strong plus

Summary

AMG Vanadium (AMG V) is seeking a Maintenance Electrician to join our growing organization at our new Zanesville Plant. AMG Vanadium’s Maintenance Electrician installs, maintains, and repairs electrical systems, electrical and electronic components of plant operations machinery, equipment and building facility needs. This position is responsible for general upkeep of the facilities’ electrical system and components.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Comply with all AMG V policies and procedures, safety and environmental requirements, and AMG’s Code of Business Conduct

  • Assist with installation of new machines, equipment, and mechanical lifts and conveyer systems; provide electrical drops, power supply, and auxiliary controls connections; participate in the development and implementation of commissioning procedures for electrical installations
  • Perform electrical installations on machine and equipment repairs in accordance with NEC codes, OSHA regulations, and AMG V safety policies and procedures
  • Work with Production, Engineering, and Maintenance to ensure continuous operation of plant; test and inspect equipment routinely; complete preventive maintenance checks on all electrical equipment, including electrical components on engines, motors, hydraulic valves/cylinders, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, etc.
  • Prepare and/or review blueprints, drawings, schematics, and detailed equipment specifications
  • Troubleshoot electrical problems in equipment, machines, motors, process support systems and circuits; determine root cause and implement required repairs
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure that the electrical system of the facility is working properly; assist in the design of preventative maintenance schedule for all electrical systems as required
  • Maximize equipment uptime and minimize production downtime to achieve desired business and operational goals
  • Follow scheduled maintenance work order system and participate in planning of required electrical maintenance support during scheduled downtime
  • Assist with mechanical repairs and general maintenance support activities throughout plant as required
  • Understand roles and responsibilities in support of operational metrics
  • Work closely with Engineering and Production Departments as required
